Bath Racecourse is thrilled to have won 'Best Casual Dining Experience' at the National Racecourse Catering Awards.

The awards, which took place at Doncaster Racecourse's new Hilton Garden Inn hotel on Friday also saw wins for Arena Racing Company's Newcastle, Windsor and Worcester.

Bath received the award for the Vintage Afternoon Tea, a new casual dining experience that was created by the racecourse in 2018 for both Ladies' Day and The Bath Cup Festival. Guests were welcomed into a luxury marquee, complete with a vintage feel and a horse box bar. The dining package offered racegoers a fantastic hospitality experience with a relaxed atmosphere, something that guest, Katie Bateman enjoyed.

"We had a table booked in the vintage afternoon tea tent as we’d arranged a trip with our Women's Institute - this was our first time coming to Bath Races and I can guarantee we’ll be back.

"The staff in the tent were exceptional, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was brilliant."

Bath Racecourse Catering and Operations Manager, Sam Knight commented; "As a team, we have worked to create new and interesting experiences for our guests, from fine-dining to casual-dining. The Vintage Afternoon Tea was introduced for the first time on Ladies' Day and was a huge success.

"We have been pleased to receive a lot of really positive feedback from people after experiencing the Vintage Afternoon Tea on a race day and are thrilled to have been recognised with an award for the package."

2019 fixture dates have now been confirmed, and full information on race day themes, ticket packages and hospitality are due to be announced shortly.
